Connect an assistant
Create a key in your panel with only the scopes the assistant needs, then add the server. The MCP server uses the same key, scopes, limits and credits as the REST API.
Connect without a key (OAuth)
Apps that support OAuth need no key. Add the server address https://mcp.messgeo.com/mcp; the app opens MessGEO, you sign in, choose the permissions and allow. The connection appears under Connected apps on the API page, where you can disconnect it at any time.
In Claude and ChatGPT, add the same address as a custom connector. In Claude Code:
claude mcp add --transport http messgeo https://mcp.messgeo.com/mcpThen run /mcp inside Claude Code and sign in. The examples below use a key instead, for tools that do not support OAuth.
Claude Code
claude mcp add --transport http messgeo https://mcp.messgeo.com/mcp \
--header "Authorization: Bearer mgk_xxxxxxxxxx_your_secret"Claude Desktop
Claude Desktop connects through a small bridge. Add this to its configuration file:
{
"mcpServers": {
"messgeo": {
"command": "npx",
"args": ["-y", "mcp-remote", "https://mcp.messgeo.com/mcp", "--header", "Authorization: Bearer mgk_xxxxxxxxxx_your_secret"]
}
}
}Cursor
Add this to .cursor/mcp.json:
{
"mcpServers": {
"messgeo": {
"url": "https://mcp.messgeo.com/mcp",
"headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer mgk_xxxxxxxxxx_your_secret" }
}
}
}VS Code
Add this to .vscode/mcp.json:
{
"servers": {
"messgeo": {
"type": "http",
"url": "https://mcp.messgeo.com/mcp",
"headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer mgk_xxxxxxxxxx_your_secret" }
}
}
}Windsurf
{
"mcpServers": {
"messgeo": {
"serverUrl": "https://mcp.messgeo.com/mcp",
"headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer mgk_xxxxxxxxxx_your_secret" }
}
}
}Gemini CLI
{
"mcpServers": {
"messgeo": {
"httpUrl": "https://mcp.messgeo.com/mcp",
"headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer mgk_xxxxxxxxxx_your_secret" }
}
}
}Other clients
Address https://mcp.messgeo.com/mcp, transport Streamable HTTP, header Authorization: Bearer followed by your key. Sign in with OAuth is not available yet, so clients that cannot send a header need a bridge.
